worn and washed fabrics
Hello, and Happy New Year.
On the right you can see the new workshop dates for the year, I am really looking forward to these week ends: the days last year were very creative, we made about 50 quilts, most of them were basted together with wadding and backings and taken home ready to quilt.
If you would like to have a two day break I have details of glorious accomodation within walking distance of the Olney Centre, and there are plenty of eating places for the Saturday evening, all within easy walking distance.
For full details please email me and I will send the prospectus.
I am already cutting new bundles, for shows and the workshops, many along the established themes( see fabrics page) but adding some twists, textures and treasures.
My arrangement with our local hospice shop is working really well, giving me a constant supply of shirts but more importantly contributing to their funds on a regular basis. One of my quilts was donated as a raffle prize at Christmas raising a further £200. I will of course continue to visit all the local charity shops in order to keep the mix of fabrics and colours as lively as possible.
I still offer a custom service, if you have an idea of a colour combinanation that I am not currently offfering please let me know.
We will be adding new pictures over the coming weeks, as new things are finished, so please keep looking and be in touch with any news or queries,
all my very best,
Kim

How about this for nimble fingers, The very talented Helen Rhodes of Derbyshire based HWR Designs made this charming bear called Baby Blue Button from a bundle of worn and washed flannelette she brought at the Festival. He's on his way to his new home (mine!) but you can see more of the creative talents of Helen on her website www.hwrdesigns.com.

The last workshop and quilt show can be seen in 'slides' here.
