worn and washed fabrics

I have a name!
"washday blues"
kindly suggested by Helen Finch
who will be joining us for a workshop later in the year,
thank you to everyone who took part.
This picture shows the quilt partially quilted bathing in the sunshine on my garden gate. The unseasonal weather made it very difficult to take a photograph without losing some of the blue shades. IAbout a quarter is quilted so far with about 6 lines per five inch strip. The backing is a very pretty floral with a white background and large blue/lavender widely spaced flowers, just visible in the top right hand corner.
I will be making another 5 or so 4m bundles in similar colours tomorrow, which will be available next week, £55.00 inc. vat and post and packing. (unfortunately postage will have to increase in late April).

The April 7th workshop is now full, but there will be a small display of approx 10 quilts and some sales tables which everyone is welcome to visit anytime between 10 am and 4 pm.
I have a new batch of Liberty swatch books, if you missed getting one at the Chilford show. They are £20.00 plus vat and p/p, (£25.50) sold on a first come first served basis.
Many of the standard range of bundles are made and ready for Malvern, this has given me time to start next week on some different and very individual selections, if you have an idea for a colourway please let me know as I have plenty of raw material after a new collection from the Willen Hospice shops, and an extensive "run round the charity shops" with my daughter, my thanks to Sonja and Mel for help with cutting and ironing as always please keep in touch,
with my best wishes
Kim
How about this for nimble fingers, The very talented Helen Rhodes of Derbyshire based HWR Designs made this charming bear called Baby Blue Button from a bundle of worn and washed flannelette she brought at the Festival. He's on his way to his new home (mine!) but you can see more of the creative talents of Helen on her website www.hwrdesigns.com.

The last workshop and quilt show can be seen in 'slides' here.
